Very good except that when i went to order an additional shelf the price was way out of line. Single shelf was 1/8 the price of the whole freezer. Not good customer relations!.

Needed a new freezer. The old one was dying rapidly and costing a bunch of money to run. This new Maytag Freezer was the best deal for the money. Textured finish is better than the competition. Controls are easy to access and its frost free. What's not to love?

I have had the freeze 4 months and it just went out for the second time. Costing me hundreds in lost food for a second time. First time it went out it took over 3 weeks to be fixed. Save your money buy a frigadare

I bought this a week ago and so far am quite happy with it. Only complaint I would have had is that it needed more/one shelve. I have read reviews where more can be purchased but are fairly expensive, so I checked the shelving (home storage) section at home depot and found that the 16 inch wire shelving fit the freezer brackets perfectly (sorry Matag).. Just had to cut to proper length. Maytag makes an excellent freezer, a little noisey but not bad (it'sin a basement laundry room), outside deminisions allows it to fit through smaller doorways but inside it is large and holds a lot of food. If you want a great freezer, buy this one.

Hoping this one lasts as long as our other did.
Was extremely difficult to organize everything because of how the inside is taken up with the motor. This new freezer was suppose to be larger than last one,, but it didn't hold everything which I think due to the motor encased inside.

When my old freezer 'died', it was time to get a bigger one. The 18 cubic foot one is perfect and holds the beef we just butchered comfortably. There is even room for a couple of frozen pizzas and vegetables I've been freezing so far this year.

We have a house full of GE appliances but chose this Maytag upright freezer as a garage extra. So far, so good. Probably should have chosen ALL Maytag appliances instead of GE...we have had handful of little GE issues on our appliances...and its only been 2 years. Live and learn.

It is exactly what we were looking for. We had bought a whole beef cow steer and needed storage for it, it fit all of the cow, plus there is still room left over to store other things in there too! It works great, hardly runs, and we are overall thrilled with our purchase!

I just got this from Home Depot and was reasonably happy. This was a replacement for a 20 plus year old freezer. My only disappointment was the lack of a lower drawer which was in my old unit. This one seems to have a place for one. I also found it could use another shelf or two to help better organize the food.

We bought the freezer about three weeks ago and we are very pleased with it. Our old freezer was just over seven years old and it quit freezing. It was going to cost about $400 to get it fixed and the repair man suggested for us to get a new one. He said the parts to fix the old one wouldn't last but about six months.
